Atlantia: negotiates acquisition in India

(CercleFinance.com) - Atlantia is said to be in exclusive talks with India's IRB Infrastructure to acquire its road assets in a deal worth some two billion dollars, according to broker Aurel BGC, which quotes the Indian newspaper The Economic Times.


The broker points out that the Italian motorway infrastructure group would therefore be active in several cases, as it is still in the running to try to buy Abertis in Spain, a group on which it filed a takeover bid last June.

In October 2017, the European Commission authorised this planned acquisition, concluding that the merged entity would continue to face effective competition in the relevant markets.
