Eni: Versalis and Supreme Petrochem license agreement

(CercleFinance.com) - Eni today announced that Versalis, its chemical company, has agreed to license the technology for a 70 kt/year ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene Styrene) plastic production unit to Supreme Petrochem Ltd.
, one of India's leading producers of polystyrene and expandable polystyrene.

The plant will be built in the Indian state of Maharashtra and will produce styrenic polymers with a low carbon footprint thanks to reduced emissions and energy consumption.

Eni says the licensing agreement confirms Versalis' leading role in styrenic polymers and strengthens its position in the fast growing Asian petrochemical market.
