Eni: discovers new oil field in Norwegian Sea

(CercleFinance.com) - Eni has announced the discovery, via Vår Energi, of a new oil field in the Norwegian Sea.


Vår Energi, a company that is jointly owned by Eni (majority stake: 69.85%) and HitecVision (30.15%), holds a 30% interest in the licence, which is shared with Equinor (40%) and Aker BP (30%).

Preliminary estimates give the discovery a size of between 35 and 65 million barrels of oil equivalent.
