Enel: EU approves joint acquisition of Gridspertise

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of joint control of Gridspertise by Enel and CVC Capital Partners SICAV-FIS.


Gridspertise supplies smart grid equipment to grid operators and users.

Enel is an energy group active in the production, marketing, distribution and supply of electricity and natural gas.

CVC manages investment funds and platforms.

The Commission concluded that the proposed concentration would not raise competition concerns given the absence of overlaps, as well as the limited vertical links, between the activities of Gridspertise and CVC.
