Enel: signs power supply deal with Starbucks

(CercleFinance.com) - US power provider Constellation has signed a long-term agreement with Starbucks to power over 340 company-operated Illinois stores with renewable energy produced by Enel Green Power North America, the company said on Wednesday.

The renewable energy will be produced by Enel's HillTopper wind project in Logan County, Illinois, which is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2018, Constellation said.

Under the terms of the deal, Constellation will purchase a 14-megawatt portion of the energy generated by HillTopper.

The investment in this facility, which will have a total capacity of 185 megawatts, amounts to approximately 325 million dollars.
