Generali: Barclays downgrades stock

(CercleFinance.com) - Barclays has downgraded its recommendation on Generali shares from "overweight" to "equal weight", despite nudging up its target price for them from 38 euros to 38.
5 euros, saying that it sees "even less room for further NII surprises".

The broker points to the share's current valuation and weaker near-term fee momentum for the insurer, and says that it prefers Mediolanum (advised to "overweight") amongst Italian peers.
