Linde: to build electrolyzer plant in Germany

(CercleFinance.com) - Linde, the world's largest industrial-gas maker, plans to build a new electrolyzer that will produce green hydrogen to supply its industrial customers, the company said on Wednesday.


The UK-based firm said that the plant, which is near Leipzig, in Eastern Germany, will distribute liquefied green hydrogen to refueling stations and other customers through the company's existing pipeline network.

Its output can fuel approximately 600 buses, driving 40 million kilometres and saving up to 40,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, Linde said.

The plant is due to start production in the second half of 2022.
