Medtronic: Q4 misses consensus

(CercleFinance.com) - Medtronic has reported adjusted EPS for Q1 2019-20 that is down 62% at 58 cents, nearly 30 cents short of the consensus.
Meanwhile, revenues fell by 26% to 6 billion dollars (-26% in organic terms).

Over the full year, the Dublin-based medical equipment supplier posted adjusted EPS that is down 12.1% at 4.59 dollars, albeit in line with its guidance that it updated in April due to the pandemic.

On this basis, the Board of Directors has decided to increase its quarterly dividend to 58 cents per share, or 2.32 dollars per share on an annualised basis, from 2.16 dollars per share previously, which is despite the short-term uncertainties preventing it from providing an outlook.
