Medtronic: takes over Mazor Robotics

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday evening, Medtronic announced a final deal for the acquisition of Mazor Robotics for approximately 1.
64 billion dollars (1.34 billion dollars net of Medtronic's current stake and cash-flow acquired).

The Dublin-based medical equipment group explained that this deal will strengthen its position as a world leader in spinal surgery, and support Mazor Robotics' vision to bring its core technologies to the forefront of the global market.

The transaction is expected to be finalised by the end of Medtronic's Q3 (period ending 25 January 2019) subject to customary conditions. It is expected to have a slightly dilutive impact on its FY adjusted EPS.
