Accenture: acquires Dutch cloud specialist Sentia

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Accenture announced that it has acquired Sentia, a Dutch specialist in cloud hosting services for businesses, while not disclosing the terms of the deal.


The US consulting giant said that it will take over Sentia's assets in the Netherlands, Belgium and Bulgaria, as well as its 310 employees.

The scope of the deal excludes the Danish subsidiary, which will continue to operate independently while retaining the Sentia brand.

Sentia is set to join Accenture Cloud First, Accenture's initiative to accelerate the move to the cloud and support the digital transformation of businesses, which received an initial investment of 3 billion dollars at its launch two years ago.
