TechnipFMC: towards wind project with Magnora in Scotland

(CercleFinance.com) - TechnipFMC and Magnora announce that their partnership Magnora Offshore Wind AS, which combines their respective expertise, has been offered the opportunity to enter into an option agreement for the N3 area located in the north-west of Scotland.


The planned development will have a total capacity of around 500MW, which could power over 600,000 homes in the UK. Covering an area of approximately 100 km2, the farm would comprise 33 semi-submersible floating wind turbines with a capacity of 15 MW.

It aims to obtain consent in 2026, with a final investment decision in 2028 and to start production in 2030, thus contributing to Scotland's net zero targets, Pathway to 2030.
