Compass: guidance maintained after strong quarter
(CercleFinance.com) - Compass, the world's leading foodservice company, on Thursday kept its annual guidance unchanged after a particularly strong performance in the quarter to the end of December.
The British group this morning announced organic sales growth of 38.6% in the last three months of 2021, its Q1 2021/2022.
This performance marks a further acceleration in its business following the 32.9% organic growth recorded the previous quarter.
More importantly, the restaurant operator - which serves meals in companies, schools and hospitals - points out that its business has now returned to 97% of its pre-Covid-19 levels.
For the current financial year 2021/2022, Compass - which owns the Eurest brand in France - is still targeting organic growth of between 20% and 25%.
It looks as though everyone's queuing up at the cantine today - the share is up 8.5% at lunchtime.
