Compass: posts strong growth in FY results
(CercleFinance.com) - Compass has reported 2020-21 underlying EPS that is up 72.
5% at 29.5p, with a 160 basis point improvement in its operating margin to 4.5%, albeit on revenues that are down 6.3% organically to 18.1 billion pounds.
On this basis, its board of directors will propose to resume a dividend payment, which will be 14 pence per share for the past financial year, to be paid in February: it is targeting a payout ratio of around 50% of 2021-22 earnings.
For the year ahead, the UK foodservice group says it expects to deliver an underlying operating margin in excess of 6%, with organic revenue growth of between 20% and 25%.
