Shell: solar park project in Australia

(CercleFinance.com) - Shell announced on Friday that it plans to build and operate its first industrial-scale solar park, a project that the energy giant plans to roll out in northeast Australia.


The project, which is expected to be completed in early 2021, is expected to generate around 120 megawatts of solar electricity from around 400,000 photovoltaic panels.

The construction phase is set to create 200 jobs.

Regarding its location, Shell says it chose the Queensland region because of its exceptional sunshine.
