Intertek: Stifel reduces target price

(CercleFinance.com) - Stifel maintains its "hold" rating on Intertek shares, having reduced its target price for them from 4,900 pence to 4,500 pence, in its sector comments on European inspection and certification services stocks.

The broker said that it is " cautious heading into the print on Intertek (Hold) as we see a poor H1 margin performance, which would ultimately require a challenging H2 margin performance to make the FY target achievable".

By comparison, Bureau Veritas is its top stock in the sector in both the short and medium term, and while it maintains its Hold rating on SGS, although analysts "become increasingly constructive short-term".
