Barclays: SFO to reinstate charges in 2008 Qatar case

(CercleFinance.com) - Britain's Serious Fraud Office (SFO) is seeking to reinstate charges against Barclays regarding capital raises with Qatar in 2008, the bank said on Tuesday.


In a statement, Barclays points out that the Crown Court had dismissed all of the charges in May 2018.

Barclays intends to defend the application brought by the SFO, it said.
