Marks & Spencer: CFO leaves after 18 months in role
(CercleFinance.com) - Marks and Spencer's chief financial officer Humphrey Singer will leave the British retailer after just a year and a half in this role, the company said on Monday.
In a statement issued this morning, M&S said Singer has decided to leave the business and that it is now looking for a replacement. Singer will work with CEO Steve Rowe to ensure an "orderly transition," the retailer said.
A departure date has not yet been decided. Until then, Humphrey will continue with his responsibilities, M&S added.
He joined M&S in July 2018 from British electrical goods and mobile phones retailer Dixons Carphone, where he was group finance director.
The shares fell by 4% on the news.
