BP: teams up with Eni in Oman

(CercleFinance.com) - British oil major BP and Italian energy group Eni have signed an agreement to work on a new exploration project in Oman.


Under the deal, the two companies will work with the Government of Oman towards the award of a new block in the centre of the country.

The block, which has a total area of almost 3,100 km2, is located 30 km east of a block that is already operated by BP.

BP and Eni said they will now enter discussions with Oman to finalise the terms of the project.
