BHP: net income more than doubles in 2018-19

(CercleFinance.com) - BHP has reported FY 2018-19 net income, group share that has more than doubled (+124%) to 8.
3 billion dollars in total, albeit down 2% to less than 9.5 billion dollars in underlying terms for continuing operations.

Still based on continuing operations, the mining company's underlying EBITDA remained at nearly 23.2 billion dollars, helped by higher prices and record production in several activities, said CEO Andrew Mackenzie.

BHP announces a record final dividend of 78 cents per share, representing a total payout of 3.9 billion dollars and says, "We enter the 2020 financial year with positive momentum and a strong outlook for both volume and cost.”
