CGG: Sercel wins major contract in Saudi Arabia

(CercleFinance.com) - CGG has announced that its subsidiary Sercel has been awarded a major contract for the supply of ground seismic equipment in Argas for a 3D mega-team recently awarded in Saudi Arabia.
The study is due to start at the end of Q1 2021.

The equipment selected includes a Sercel 508XT seismic acquisition system with over 60,000 channels equipped with SG-10 geophone ramps and a fleet of over 30 Nomad 65 Neo all-terrain vibrator trucks with VE464 advanced vibrator electronics

With this contract, Sercel will have deployed five 508XT systems for 3D mega crews in the Middle East over the last five years. With over 75 systems worldwide, this is the most widely deployed acquisition system in the industry.
