CGG: new multi-client study in Oklahoma

(CercleFinance.com) - CGG announces that it has started a new 3D multi-client terrestrial study in the Anadarko Basin in Oklahoma.


This high-density study, called the Chickasha Extension, covers 306 square miles and reinforces the geoscience group's existing coverage of the area.

The Chickasha Extension will bridge the gap between CGG's Yukon, Chickasha Merge and Watonga Merge 3D surveys with high-quality broadband data, and offer oil companies a high quality product.

Preliminary data will be available in May 2019 and final data in September 2019. This will enable the industry to better understand reservoir geology and optimise its development and maximise the recovery of hydrocarbons.
