Valeo: launches automotive HD lighting system

(CercleFinance.com) - Valeo and Cree announce that they have developed the first complete HD (High Definition) LED matrix solution for automotive lighting systems, called Valeo PictureBeam Monolithic, which Valeo is demonstrating at the CES 2019 trade fair.


This automotive HD lighting system generates a glare-free light beam, which can also project a light signal (information or images) on the roadway, together with high performance low beam and high beam in a single compact solution.

“This state-of-the-art solution which will increase safety and open the way to new functionalities for future mobility solutions, particularly for autonomous vehicles,” said Christophe Le Ligné, Chief Technology Officer of the Visibility Systems Business Group at Valeo.
