Elior: net loss in H1 2019-20
(CercleFinance.com) - Elior has reported a net loss (group share) of 17 million euros for the first half of 2019-20, compared to break-even last year, with an adjusted Ebita margin of 2.
1%, against 4.7% in H1 2018-19.
Sales from continuing operations fell by 5.2% to 2,459 million euros, reflecting a 6.2% decline in organic terms. Excluding certain specific impacts, including those of the coronavirus and strikes in France, organic growth was +1.5%.
The catering services group said that the sector's economic recovery depends on government decisions regarding the reopening of schools and the return of employees to service and industrial sites at the end of the lockdown and restrictions to movement, the catering services group warned.
