Getlink: shuttle traffic down in March

(CercleFinance.com) - Getlink announces that its Shuttle Freight carried 122,832 trucks in March, down 2% year-on-year, "in a market still marked by the adjustments to new post-Brexit administrative rules, but with a trend towards normalisation".


Meanwhile, Le Shuttle transported 38,201 passenger vehicles, down 60%, with the passenger market remaining "severely impacted by the travel restrictions put in place by the British and French governments due to the pandemic".

Therefore, over the first three months of the year, Channel Tunnel Shuttles carried 305,103 trucks and 116,057 passenger vehicles, down 21% and 72% respectively compared to the first quarter of 2020.
