Getlink: H1 2020 EBITDA halved

(CercleFinance.com) - Getlink has announced consolidated EBITDA for the first half of 2020 that is less than half the level a year ago (-52%) at 123 million euros (of which 120 million euros generated by Eurotunnel), on revenues that are down 29% to 369 million euros.


The transport infrastructure group, which operates the Channel Tunnel, saw the revenues of its subsidiary Eurotunnel slump 32% to 311 million euros, while that of its subsidiary Europorte fell by 12% to 58 million euros.

Given the remaining uncertainties, Getlink has provided a FY 2020 EBITDA forecast of 350 million euros, assuming that there are no renewed lockdowns. It has withdrawn its forecast for 2022 in view of the health context.
