Getlink: Q1 sales up 5%

(CercleFinance.com) - Getlink, operator of the Channel Tunnel, has reported Q1 2019 sales growth of 5% at 254.
4 million euros, including 4% increases for Eurotunnel and 9% for Europorte.

Within Eurotunnel, revenues from shuttles increased by 5%, in particular thanks to an increase in yield, while revenues of the rail network increased by 2%, driven by Eurostar traffic and despite the work-to-rule of French customs officers.

"This positive quarter, marked by strong organic growth and the strengthening of pricing power, confirms the Group's position regarding its long-term outlook," Getlink said, which, in the current context, confirms its forecasts of EBITDA by 2022.
