Scor: premiums up 15.9% in January contract renewals

(CercleFinance.com) - Scor has announced a 15.
9% increase in its reinsurance premiums at constant exchange rates during contract renewals of January 2021.

Premiums increased by 472 million euros to over 3.4 billion euros, with premium increasing by an average of 7.8%.

The group pointed out that it obtained preferential terms with many key clients and benefited from a general improvement in contractual clauses, particularly with the introduction of exclusions in the event of contagious disease for certain s business lines.

In specialty insurance, for which subscriptions occur throughout the year, Scor Global P&C posted a 16% increase in gross premiums, against the backdrop of a 23% tariff increase for large industrial and commercial risks.
