ADP: in talks for acquisition of Almaty Airport

(CercleFinance.com) - ADP (Aéroports de Paris) announces the holding of discussions by TAV Airports for the acquisition of Almaty International Airport in Kazakhstan, as part of its development strategy in Central Asia.


The consortium formed by TAV Airports (46.12% owned by ADP Group) and VPE Capital, has begun discussions with the owner of this airport for the potential acquisition of this asset, which could be finalised in the coming weeks or month.

As the largest airport in Central Asia, Almaty welcomed about six million passengers in 2018, half of whom on international routes. Kazakhstan accounts for 60% of Central Asia's GDP.
