Arkema: EBITDA margin stable in 2019

(CercleFinance.com) - Arkema has announced 2019 underlying net income of 625 million euros, i.
e. 8.20 euros per share, with EBITDA of 1.457 million euros, down 1.2% after the record in 2018, meaning a stable margin of 16.7%.

At 8,738 million euros, the chemical group's sales fell by 0.9%. The group said that macro-economic conditions are uncertain - less buoyant than last year - along with a tense geopolitical environment that in particular is marked by trade disputes.

A dividend of 2.70 euros per share, up 8%, will be paid to shareholders. In 2020, in an economic environment that should remain volatile, Arkema targets similar EBITDA to last year, excluding the impact of Covid-19.
