Arkema: starts up new reactor in Texas

(CercleFinance.com) - Arkema announces that, over the summer, it successfully started a new 90,000-tonne acrylic acid reactor at its site of Clear Lake, Texas, to accompany its clients' growth in North America on the markets of super-absorbents, paints, adhesives and water treatment.


"This investment of approximately US$ 90 million positions Clear Lake as one of the most competitive acrylic acid sites in the United States," Arkema said.

"This expansion consolidates Arkema's position as the second largest producer of acrylic acid in the region," the group added.
