Legrand: Q1 earnings up 13%

(CercleFinance.com) - Legrand has announced a 13.
3% increase in net profit for Q1 2022, to 258 million euros, despite an adjusted operating margin before acquisitions (at 2021 scope) that is down one point to 20.6%.

The electrical equipment supplier's sales rose 17.8% to 1.97 billion euros, including organic sales growth of 11.2%, with +10.1% in mature countries and +14.4% in new economies.

Legrand confirms its 2022 targets of sales growth between +5% and +11% (+3% to +7% in organic terms) excluding FX factors, with an adjusted operating margin of around 20% (19.9% to 20.7% before acquisitions).
