EDF: simplified tender offer to close on 3 February

(CercleFinance.com) - The AMF has announced that the simplified tender offer for EDF shares, which has been open since 24 November 2022, will be closed on 3 February, as the applicants have withdrawn their request for a "stay of execution" of the offer.


On 2 December 2022, an appeal was filed with the Paris Court of Appeal to annul the compliance decision of the public offer for EDF shares, together with a request for a stay of execution of the offer.

On 24 January, the applicants withdrew their request for this stay of execution, in consideration of the commitments made by the French State in the context of the ongoing proceedings, with a withdrawal noted by the Paris Court of Appeal the following day.
