EDF: completes 3.75-billion-dollar bond issue

(CercleFinance.com) - EDF this morning announces having raised 3.
75 billion dollars with a multi-tranche senior bond issue in US dollars.
This bond issue is made in 3 tranches, which have maturities of 10 to 30 years.

The first bond issue is for 1.8 billion dollars, with a 10-year maturity and a fixed coupon of 4.500%. The second bond is for 650 million dollars, maturing in 20 years and which has a fixed coupon of 4.875%. The last amounts to 1.3 billion dollars, maturing in 30 years' time, with a fixed coupon of 5.000%.

EDF said that these issues will enable it to continue to strengthen the structure of its balance sheet and refinance future maturities.
