EDF: additional controls at EPR of Flamanville

(CercleFinance.com) - EDF has announced that as of 21 March it has detected quality discrepancies in the production of welds on the pipelines of the main secondary circuit of the Flamanville EPR, at its initial complete visit.


As a result of these discrepancies, the group has decided to carry out additional checks on the 150 welds concerned of the main secondary circuit in order to precisely identify those with quality differences.

EDF has also launched an expert analysis to examine the causes and nature of these differences. It will then be able to specify if the project requires any adjustments to its schedule and cost.
