Eutelsat: Konnect VHTS successfully placed in orbit

(CercleFinance.com) - Eutelsat Communications today announced that the Eutelsat Konnect VHTS satellite was successfully placed into geostationary transfer orbit by Arianespace onboard an Ariane 5 rocket from the Kourou Space Centre in French Guiana.


Built by Thales Alenia Space, Eutelsat Konnect VHTS is a high-powered satellite that will deliver fixed broadband and mobile connectivity services across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

This state-of-the-art satellite already has firm commitments from several major satellite broadband players, including Orange for coverage in France, Telecom Italia Mobile for Italy and Thales Alenia Space for government customers.
