Alstom: order for 20 regional trains for Italy

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has announced signing a contract worth a total of 125 million euros with the Italian operator Ferrovienord for the supply of 20 Coradia Stream regional trains for the Lombardy Region in Italy, to be delivered from June 2023.


These electric trains represent the latest generation of a model that is already in commercial service in ten Italian regions, and are produced in compliance with the Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI).

The new trains are 96% recyclable and consume 30% less energy than the previous generation. Noise and vibrations are reduced to a minimum. These trains are also equipped with high-performance air conditioning systems.
