Alstom: commissions Dubai Route 2020 metro

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has announced the opening of the Dubai Route 2020 metro and its commercial operation by the Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA).


Launched in July 2016 and built by the Expolink Consortium, including Alstom, ACCIONA and Gülermak, the project includes a 15 km long line.

The metro's extension includes seven stations, including Jabal Ali station and the flagship station on the World Expo site. The project is worth a total of 2.6 billion euros.

Alstom was responsible for the integration of the metro system, including 50 Metropolis trains, power supply, communication, signalling, automatic ticket control, track works, platform doors and a three-year guarantee covering the entire system.

Alstom was also responsible for improving the existing metro line by modernising power supply, signalling systems, communication and tracks.
