Alstom: contract for metro line in Taipei

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announces that on 23 June, its consortium signed a contract to extend Line 7 of the Taipei metro in Taiwan, in a deal worth nearly 424 million euros, with Alstom having the lion's share of this contract, of approximately 248 million euros.


When this 13-kilometre extension (phase 2) is completed towards the end of 2028, this metro line will link the cities of Taipei and New Taipei more fluidly.

As part of this contract, Alstom will supply 16 additional fully automated four-wagon Metropolis trains, a CBTC Urbalis 400 signalling system, a SCADA system and platform doors.
