Alstom: contract for new metros of Ile-de-France

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom and Bombardier have signed a contract to design and manufacture the new generation of metros in Île-de-France.


The contract entails the delivery of 44 trains worth over 530 million euros. This contract may be extended by the exercise of options totalling up to 410 trainsets.

Alstom and Bombardier have respective shares of approximately 265 million euros, i.e. 50% of the total.

These new trainsets will be initially deployed on three lines of the Paris metro (3bis, 7bis and 10), with them commissioned from 2024 to 2026. The options will then equip five other lines (13, 12, 3, 8 and 7).
