Alstom: wins contract for 27 fuel cell trains

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announces that it has been chosen by fahma, subsidiary of RMV, to supply 27 fuel-cell trains with Coradia iLint-type vehicles that will be delivered according to the modified schedule in 2022.


In addition to the trains, the order also includes the supply of hydrogen (in cooperation with Infraserv GmbH & Co. Höchst KG), maintenance and provision of spare capacity for the next 25 years.

This contract represents a total of approximately 500 million euros, of which Alstom has 360 million euros. These vehicles will replace the diesel trains on four regional train lines in the Taunus region (central Germany) as from 2022.
