Alstom: submits remedy package to European Commission

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom and Siemens say that on 12 December they will submit a proposal for a package of remedies to the European Commission in response to the demands communicated on 29 October concerning their merger.


"The proposed remedies include mainly signaling activities as well as rolling stock products and represent around four percent of the sales of the combined entity," the companies said.

Both groups warn that there is no certainty that the content of this proposal will suffice to respond to the Commission's concerns. It is scheduled to rule on the matter by 18 February 2019.
