Alstom: wins contract in Turkey

(CercleFinance.com) - At lunchtime on Thursday Alstom announced that it will provide its complete ground power supply "APS" for the Metropolitan Municipality of Istanbul in Turkey.


This solution, which powers the tramway, is powered by a ground-level power supply conductor rail, will be installed on the new 10-kilometre "Golden Horn" line (Haliç, in Turkish), which will be completely catenary-free.

The group will be responsible for the design and supply of the continuous traction power system for the entire fleet of 30 trams, spare parts and equipment, which have a 2-year warranty. The agreement also provides for the testing and commissioning of the APS system as well as the training of maintenance and administrative staff.
