Alstom: delivery of first trainsets for Sydney

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has announced the delivery of the first subway trainsets to the city of Sydney.


This delivery is for the North West metro project, which corresponds to the first phase of the Sydney Metro, the largest public transport project in Australia.

Sydney is the first city in Australia to implement a fully automated metro system. It is set to be commissioned in the first half of 2019.
The first three out of a total of 22 six-car trainsets have been delivered to the Rouse Hill depot and are being tested over the next few months.

The North West Sydney line, a project worth around 5.2 billion euros, is the first step of the Sydney metro project.
