Alstom: delivery of Citadis trams to Dublin.

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announced on Monday that it has successfully delivered the first Citadis trams in Dublin from its plant in La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime).


Seven 55-metre-long trams, which have been bought by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) for 35 million euros, worth and which are able to carry up to 344 passengers, will run on Dublin's extension of its tramway network as part of the LUAS Cross City transport project.

Once the 7 trams have arrived from La Rochelle, they will be completely assembled at the Alstom site in Sandyford, where they will undergo safety tests and then put into service. The trams' are scheduled for entry into service next February.
