Airbus: announces industrial partnership with Hungary

(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus Helicopters and Hungary have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish an industrial cooperation for long-term aeronautical projects.

This agreement concerns the production of certain high-precision mechanical parts for helicopters. It provides for the establishment of a plant within Airbus.

The Hungarian Ministry of Defence recently bought 36 helicopters, including which 20 H145M and 16 H225M, and also operates two A319. Wizz Air, one of the largest European airlines and a client of Airbus, operates a fleet of over 100 aircraft.

"This partnership is in line with our European cooperation strategy at Airbus and a demonstration of our commitment to accelerate our collaboration with one of Europe's fastest growing economies," said Bruno Even, Chief Executive Officer of Airbus Helicopters.
