Iliad: auction results for 5G frequencies

(CercleFinance.com) - Iliad has obtained 70 MHz of the 3.
4-3.8 GHz frequencies under the allocation procedure, i.e. 23% of the frequencies available under this procedure.

At the end of the main auction phase that closed yesterday, the group was awarded 2 blocks of 10 MHz for a total of 252 million euros, to be paid for over 4 years.

This comes in addition to the 50 MHz block, for which the group has subscribed to the commitments provided for in the specifications of the French regulatory authority for electronic communications and postal services, for which the payment of 350 million euros is spread over 15 years.

Iliad will thus pursue its growth in the French mobile market by soon launching its 5G offers for its 13.4 million subscribers. In addition, the Group will benefit from an extension of its 900 MHz (+2.6 MHz symmetrical) and 2.1 GHz (+9.8 MHz symmetrical) spectrum from 2021.
