Iliad: awarded portfolio of 5G frequencies in Italy

(CercleFinance.com) - Iliad Italia has announced that it has won a portfolio of 5G frequencies as part of an auction in Italy.


Iliad Italia said that MiSE (Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico) yesterday evening announced the results of the auction for 5G mobile frequencies in Italy.

"Iliad Italia is expanding its portfolio of frequencies in order to continue its drive for innovation, rapidly develop a 5G offering and satisfy the growing demand for faster download speeds in Italy," the group said.

Iliad has given a total of E1,193 million worth of commitments to acquire this portfolio of frequencies. The amounts disbursed will be spread over the period 2018-2022.
