Orange: in talks for acquisition in Belgium

(CercleFinance.com) - Orange Belgium, a subsidiary of Orange listed in Brussels, announces that it has been selected by Nethys to enter into exclusive negotiations for the acquisition of 75% of the capital (minus one share) of VOO, based on an enterprise value of 1.
8 billion euros for 100% of the capital.

VOO is a telecom operator with a cable network in the Walloon region and part of the Brussels region, offering a portfolio of fixed and mobile telephony, broadband Internet and television services.

Thanks to this acquisition, Orange Belgium will be able to reinforce the deployment of its convergent strategy at a national level. Having very low leverage, it would finance the transaction by increasing its debt, thanks to support from Orange.
