Orange: chosen by CNES for data storage

(CercleFinance.com) - Orange Business Services today announced that it has been selected by the French National Centre for Space Studies (CNES) to design, install and maintain a new storage solution for space and scientific data.


This new "data lake" guarantees CNES users simple, fast and secure access to over 100 petabytes of data. CNES also wants to capitalise on this platform to develop new services.

As CNES' sole contact, Orange Business Services is in charge of the overall governance of the project, from design to installation and maintenance. It will lead an industrial consortium including HPE, Scality and Tealenium.
