Orange: announces creation of 'Orange Ventures'

(CercleFinance.com) - Orange announces that it will strengthen its venture capital investment activity by creating Orange Ventures, a new company with a budget of 350 million euros, thereby entering the top 10 corporate venture capital funds in Europe.


Orange Ventures invests in fast-growing companies in Orange's traditional business areas, such as connectivity, cybersecurity, digital business and innovative financial services, as well as in new territories that the group is exploring, such as e-health, Orange says.

The company aims "to achieve the financial performance of the best venture capital investment companies, and will make its investment decisions autonomously".

The Orange Ventures team, made up of twenty people, has thus been reinforced with renowned experts from the world of venture capital, and will take over the management of the portfolio of holdings of the Orange Digital Ventures initiative that was launched in 2015, it says.
